Kidney Stew

  • 1 beef kidney
  • 6 tablespoons white flour
  • 1 chopped hard-boiled egg

Wash a fresh kidney and then cut crosswise into 1/2″ slices and then into small pieces.

Soak in cold water for 15 minutes and drain.

Place in cooking pot, add water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 1/1/2 hours without a cover. Let cool.

Mix flour with an equal amount of water and make a paste.

Drain all but 3 cups of liquid from kidney and reheat.

Add flour paste gradually while stirring and cook until thickened. Salt to taste.

Add chopped egg. Mix well.

Feed by mixing with equal amounts by weight of dry dog food or cooked rice..
