Okra Patties

  • 1 cup okra, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 onion, diced fine
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 hot green pepper, diced fine

Mix all ingredients and fry in small amount of cooking oil. Just enough to cover bottom of skillet. Fry slowly until lightly browned on both sides. Press down flat as you turn them.
