- 1 hen, boil and cut in chunks
- 2 cans celery soup
- Sage, to taste
- 2 packages of onion soup mix
- 2 or 3 garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
- Chili powder,
- 1 Tbsp Tabasco® sauce, to taste
- 2 or 3 onions
- 1/2 cup celery
Add soups, chili powder, sage, Tabasco® sauce, and onion soup to broth. Saute onions, garlic, and celery. Put a layer of chicken, raw rice, some lemon juice and olive oil over this.
Another layer of chicken, another 1 1/2 cups raw rice, and lemon juice and olive oil over this, too. Add onion and garlic and celery to broth mixture. Pour broth mixture over all and bake until it comes to a boil, then turn oven down to 250° or 300° until rice is done.
