Pizza Sandwich Casserole

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 2 cans (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 400°. Cook and stir ground beef until brown. Drain. Mix in 1 can tomato sauce and oregano. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Stir baking mix, egg and milk to soft dough. Spread half of dough in bottom of a greased 9x9x2 inch pan. Pour other can tomato sauch over dough and spread evenly. Layer 4 slices cheese, meat mixture, remaining cheese slices, and Parmesan cheese. Cover with remaining dough.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown.
