Deviled Swiss Steak

  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 lb round steak
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire° sauce
  • Pepper
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 1/2 cup canned tomatoes

Mix dry ingredients with flour. Pound into steak. Season with salt and pepper. Brown meat on both sided in fat. Add sliced onions, diced carrots, tomatoes, sauce and brown sugar.

Cover. When steaming point is reached, turn low and cook until done, 1 1/2 hours.

Yield – 6 servings.
