Dorothy Bass
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 beaten egg yolks
- 1/2 cup melted shortening or salad oil
Sift dry ingredients, combine egg yolks, milk and shortening; stir into dry ingredients. Fold in egg whites.
Bake in hot waffle iron. When steam no longer appears, waffle is done.
