Country Cabbage

  • 3 heads of cabbage
  • 1/2 cup bacon grease
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 small onion

Put bacon grease in iron pot and yet real hot. Put cabbage that has been washed and cut up in pot. Add only a little water as water will cook out of the cabbage. Add your onions and salt. Cook to suit your taste.
