Mattie Stone’s Bible Cake

In a bowl, add: 1/4 pound butter – Judges 5:25

1/4 pound cane syrup – Jeremiah 6:20

Add 2 eggs, lightly beaten – Luke 11:12

1/2 lb flour – Leviticus 2:13

1 pinch of yeast – Galatians 5:9

Then add a pinch of salt – Leviticus 2:13

1 pinch of cinnamon – Exodus 30:23

1/4 lb raisins & figs – 1st Samuel 30:12 (you will want to coat these in flour to keep them from sinking)

Enough water to mix together thoroughly – Isaiah 55:1

Bake in 6inch cake pan (greased) in mud oven (In lieu of a “mud oven,” bake 2 hours in conventional oven preheated to 300 degrees).

Top with fruits, a little honey, nuts, & so on. – Genesis 43:1
