Roast Rock Cornish Game Hens

  • 4 (1 lb) hens
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup canned condensed consomme
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup

Season hens with salt and pepper. If desired, stuff each hen with your favorite stuffing. Place in roasting pan. Brush with melted butter. Roast, uncovered, at 400° until brown. Drain the last 15 minutes of baking time. Baste several times with mixture of consommé and syrup.

Makes 4 servings.

Serve on platter with rice.
