Amy’s Louisiana Kitchen



Amy’s Recipe

  • 4-1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1 (7 ounce0 jar Marshmallow Creme
  • 1 (12 ounce) can Evaporated Milk
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • Dash of Salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips with 1/2 cups chopped pecans (all in one bowl)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (in another bowl)

In a saucepan combine sugar, creme, milk, butter and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture reaches 265 degrees on a candy thermometer. Divide mixture in half. To one half add the chocolate chips and pecans. Stir until melted and blended and pour into a buttered 9 x 13 dish. To remaining half of marshmallow mixture add the white choc chips and stir until smooth. pour over choc and pecan layer and let cool and set. cut into pieces.
