Meat Balls

Mattye Guice

  • 3 large onions
  • 2 garlic buds
  • 3 Tbsp oil
  • 2 large cans tomato paste
  • 3 Tbsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Cook 3 hours slowly first. Sauté onions and garlic buds in oil until tender. Add tomato paste and fry 20 minutes. Stir often. Dilute with 4 cups water.

Meatballs:

Soak 4 crumbled hamburger buns in 1 large can milk (evaporated). Add 3 eggs, 3 pounds ground beef, 1 small can Parmesan cheese, and 1 teaspoon salt.

Make into balls and brown.
