- 1 pie crust shell
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 (16 oz) package frozen blueberries or blackberries
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp oleo
In mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, and spices. Coat berries with mixture. Place berry mixture in a shallow pan, 8 1/2 inch round casserole dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Dot with butter.
Bake at 400°F. for 25 minutes.
Place thawed flat crust over berries. Continue baking until crust is brown and juice bubbles, about 30 minutes.
Note: For blackberries, omit spices and increase lemon juice to 1/4 cup.
