Fried Chocolate Pie

Virgie Stringer, S.H.S.

Crust:

  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Water to make dough

Roll out and cut into circles.

Filling:

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar

This pastry is rolled out and cut into circles, then a chocolate paste is placed on top and then the pastry is folded over. Fry until golden brown and then enjoy.

This is my mother’s recipe. Delicious.
