Layered Pecan Pie

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (9 inch) pie shell
  • 1 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Combine first 3 ingredients; heat until smooth. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until mixed well. Spoon into pie shell. Sprinkle with pecans. Combine 3 eggs, corn syrup, 1/4 cup sugar, and teaspoon vanilla. Beat well and pour over the pecans.

Bakes at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes, or until set.
