Raisin Pie

Avistine Kendrix, F.H.S.

  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup broken walnuts
  • 1 (8 inch) unbaked pastry shell

Combine eggs, sugar, spices, salt, lemon juice, and butter. Stir in raisins and nuts. Pour into pastry shell.

Bake in moderate oven (375°) for 35 to 40 minutes, or until filling is set in center. Cool.
