Butter Roll

  • 1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 3/4 cup sweet milk
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • Allspice

Mix flour, oil, and milk and divide into 4 parts. Roll out dough for rolls. Chip butter on each roll, 2 tablespoons of sugar and dash of allspice. Roll up and put into pan. Put remaining butter, sugar, and sprinkle with allspice on top of rolls. Cover with 4 cups of boiling water and cook at 375° for 45 minutes, or until dough is done and browned on top.
