Sweet Potato Biscuits

  • 3 cup cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
  • 6 cup self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 bacon drippings

Sift flour in large bowl (make nest) as if making regular biscuits. Put above ingredients in nest and mix well with enough flour to pinch off in biscuits, or they may be rolled out and cut. Put in pan and grease top with bacon drippings.

Make 12 to 15 nice size biscuits.

Bake in 450° oven until top is golden brown.
