- 2 cup self-rising flour
- 1/4 cup shortening
- about 3/4 milk (may use buttermilk 1 cup minus 2 Tbsp.)
Heat oven to 475°. Pour sifted flour into bowl. Add shortening and cut it until all particles ae fine as coarse meal. Add milk and mix quickly. Turn dough out on a lightly floured board. Knead. Roll out and cut with cutter. Bake about 10 to 12 minutes.
