- 3/4 cup plain meal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp bacon drippings of fat, melted
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add milk, egg, and fat. Bake in shallow buttered pan for 20 minutes at 425°.
