Nut Loaf

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 1 pint pecans
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 package dates
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 cup cherries

Cream butter and sugar until soft and smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add flour, baking powder, soda, and nutmeg. Add whiskey; stir in raisins, dates, cherries, and pecans. Mix until well distributed through the batter. Grease and put in tube pan.

Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes at 350°.
