Cake:
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp soda
- 3 mashed bananas
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup nuts
Icing:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 lb confectioners sugar
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Nuts to decorate
Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs. Combine flour and soda. Add alternately with buttermilk and mashed bananas. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in two round pans or oblong pan until lightly browned.
Icing: Combine butter, confectioners sugar, mashed banana, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Ice cake. Top with nuts. Better if sets two days before cut.
