Scripture Cake

  • 1 cup Judges 5:25 (butter0
  • 2 cups Jeremiah 6:20 (sugar)
  • 6 Jeremiah 17:11 (eggs)
  • 2 Tbsp 1 Samuel 14:25 (honey)
  • 2 cup Nahum 3:12 (chopped figs
  • 2 cup Numbers 17:8 (slivered almonds)
  • 4 1/2 cup 1 Kings 4:22 (flour)
  • 2 tsp Amos 4:5 (baking powder)
  • 1 pinch of Leviticus 2:15 (salt)
  • 1 cup I Samuel 30:12 (raisins)
  • 2 tsp Amos 4:5 (baking powder)

Make it a family project to look up the ingredients; all are found in the Bible (K.J.V.). Cream first two ingredients. Add third, one at a time. Add fourth ingredient and beat well. Mix fifth, sixth, and seventh ingredients. Stir in last three ingredients. Bake in two greased loaf pans at 350° for about one hour or until done.
