- 2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup Crisco
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 medium apples
- 3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well and add vanilla. Mix nuts and apples. Sift flour, salt and soda together. Add the fruit to flour mixture, then mix this to the creamed mixture.
Bake for 1 hour at 350° in tube pan.
