Cold Oven Pound Cake

  • 2 sticks of Land O’ Lakes® butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco®
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla flavor
  • 1/2 tsp lemon flavor
  • 3 cup flour

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar until smooth. Add egg; beat about 1 minute on hand. Add milk, then add flour, salt, and baking powder. Add flavoring after milk, then add flour, salt and baking powder mixture.

Beat with mixer until smooth. Start off in cold oven then turn temperature to 300°F. for 1 1/2 hours.
