- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 package vanilla instant pudding
- 1/2 cup Wesson® oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup rum or 2 tsp rum extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup pecans
Sprinkle chopped pecans on bottom of greased tube pan. Mix together cake mix, pudding, water, oil, and rum. Beat in eggs.
Pour butter into pan and bake for 1 hour at 325°.
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 oz rum or 2 tsp rum extract
Boil butter, sugar, water, and rum together in sauce pan. Pour over cake while in pan. This will soak into cake. Let cake completely cool before removing from pan.
