- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cup quick cooking rolled oats
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Combine flour, balding powder, soda, and salt in small bowl; set aside. Cream together butter or margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Blend in dry ingredients gradually; mix thoroughly.
Stir in rolled oats, coconut and chopped nuts.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Press out with back of a fork.
Bake at 350° for ten to fifteen minutes, until lightly browned.
Makes about 7 dozen.
This makes a very stiff dough. May want to us your hands.
