- 1 1/4 butter
- 2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar in bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts if desired.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F. for 8 to 9 minutes.
Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 1 minute; remove to wire rack and cool completely.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
