- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup sifted flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
Cream together peanut butter and butter. Add sugars and vanilla. Continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well . Stir in dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Mix thoroughly. Shape into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Flatten each ball with a fork.
Bake in 375° oven about 12 minutes.
Store loosely covered to keep crisp..
