Raisin Granola

  • 2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup honey

Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts and salt in a large bowl. Stir in honey, oil and mix thoroughly. Spread mixture on shallow baking pan lined with waxed paper. Bake in 300° oven stirring occasionally 1 hour or until golden. Remove from oven and stir in raisins while still warm. Store in tightly covered container.

Makes 8 cups.
