Carolyn Doster, Spearsville, HS

  • Lettuce, torn, washed and drained
  • Bell pepper, chopped
  • Carrots, grated
  • Green onions, chopped
  • 1 package frozen English peas (uncooked)
  • 2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package Good Seasons Italian® dressing (dry kind)
  • Grated cheese
  • Bacon Bits

Put a layer of lettuce first, then a layer of bell pepper, grated carrots, chopped green onions, frozen English peas (do not cook them), then another layer of lettuce. In a bowl, mix 2 cups mayonnaise with 1 package of Good Seasons® Italian dressing mix (dry kind). Mix well ten put dressing on top of lettuce. Make sur it’s around the edges good so it will seal. This is what makes the lettuce crispy. Top this with grated cheese and bacon bits.

This is a make ahead dish. If you do it ahead, wait until ready to serve to add cheese and bacon bits.
