Strawberry Ambrosia

  • 1 large package vanilla wafers
  • 2 package crushed pecans
  • 4 (1 lb) package cream cheese
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 (1 lb) boxes powdered sugar
  • 1 quart strawberries and jell
  • 1/3 stick oleo
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavor
  • Cool Whip
  1. Butter dish
  2. Crush vanilla wafers and spread
  3. Sprinkle crushed pecans over vanilla wafers
  4. Cream powdered sugar, cheese, yolks, and extract
  5. Spread over vanilla wafers and pecans
  6. Spread strawberry jell next and strawberries
  7. Repeat steps 2 through 6
  8. Spread with Cool Whip
  9. Sprinkle wafers and pecans over Cool Whip
  10. Garnish with strawberries
  11. Place in refrigerator
