Candied Yams

  • 4 to 5 golden yams, peeled and cut in small pieces
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup butter

Cover yams in saucepan with water. Add salt, sugar and cinnamon that have been mixed together. Cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender and liquid is a syrup consistency. Add butter just before potatoes are done.

Serve hot.
