Roast Rock Cornish Game Hens

  • 4 (1 lb) hens
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup canned condensed consommé
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup

Season hens with salt and pepper. If desired, stuff each hen with your favorite stuffing. Place in roasting pan. Brush with melted butter. Roast uncovered at 400° until brown. During the last 15 minutes of baking time, baste several with mixture of consommé and syrup.

Makes 4 servings.

Service on platter with rice.
