Jalapeno Corn Bread

  • 3 cup corn bread mix
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 large onion, chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup whole kernel corn
  • 1/4 cup jalapeno pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup bacon, crisp and chopped

Mix corn bread mix, sugar and garlic salt. Add all other ingredients except milk. Add milk last. Bake in greased skillet at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
