Corn Fritters

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp melted Crisco®
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked whole kernel corn
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 Tbsp four
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Crisco® for deep-frying

Beat egg with milk; then stir in 1 tablespoon melted Crisco® and the corn. Add combined dry ingredients and stir just until mixed.

Drop from a tablespoon into deep Crisco® heated to 365°. Fry for about 4 minutes, until brown and done in the middle.

Drain on paper towels.

Serve hot.
