Cold Oven Pound Cake

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cream margarine, oil and sugar until creamy. Beat in an egg at a time. Add 1/2 of flour and 1/2 of milk; beat well. Add vanilla and salt. Put in cold oven. Turn oven to 325°F and bake for 25 minutes. Reduce temperature to 300°F. and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes longer.
