Cold Oven Pound Cake

  • 1 cup Crisco®
  • 3 cup sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Cream Crisco® and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat after each one is added. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured tube pan. Put in a cold oven. Turn oven to 300° and bake about 1 1/2 hours.
