White Cake

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cup cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  1. Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla.
  2. Add flour with salt and baking powder then add water to the butter and sugar mixture.
  3. Fold in eg whites
  4. Pour into two 9 inch well buttered and floured cake pans.
  5. Bake in a 350°F. oven for about 1/2 hour.
