Fresh Apple Cake

  • 1 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Sprinkle 2 to 3 teaspoons sugar over apples and let stand. Beat eggs; add oil, sugar and apples. Sift flour; sift again with salt and soda. Mix all together. Put in a cold oven. Bake 45 minutes at 325°. Bundt pan may be used.

I make 3 small loaves.

Great for Christmas giving.
