Brown Sugar Cake

  • 3 sticks butter
  • 1 lb light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 5 egg yolks, well beaten
  • 3 cup sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter; add sugar, eggs, flour, milk then vanilla. Add nuts and fold in beaten egg whites. Put in well greased tube pan.

Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
