- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2 Tbsp butter
In heavy saucepan, mix sugar, flour and cocoa. Gradually add enough milk to moisten. Beat egg yolks and add. Mix well and add remaining milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and bubbles 2 or 3 times. Remove from fire and stir in butter and vanilla. Cool slightly and pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue.
Brown in oven.
