Buttermilk Coconut Pie

Mattye Guice, Mildred Doublas

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 stick melted oleo
  • 3 whole eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 oz can coconut

Mix flour and sugar. Add eggs, oleo, buttermilk, vanilla and 2/3 can coconut. Mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle rest of coconut over top of pie.

Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
