- 2 cups sweet milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup margarine
- Pinch of salt
Scald 2 cups of sweet milk in double boiler. Beat 3 egg yolks well, then add sugar and cream well. Add flour pinch of salt and add all this to scalded milk. Cook for a short while over boiling water then add milted margarine and vanilla. Cook until custard is thick. Then pour into baked 9 inch pie shell and top with meringue.
Meringue:
Beat 3 egg whites till stiff, adding 3 tablespoons sugar, beating until it stands in peaks. Top pie and bake until golden brown.
