Brownie Torte

  • 1 package (regular size) Duncan Hines® double fudge brownie mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 pint (1 cup) whipped cream
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix batter for cake brownies except add 1 cup chopped nuts. Spread batter in a well greased 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes until firm to touch. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan. Let cool completely.

Cut crosswise to make three strips about 9×4 inches each. Whip cream until stiff; add sugar and vanilla. Spread between strips of cake and then on the sides of the torte. Leave top unfrosted.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Slice and serve.
