Calico Meringues

  • 2 egg whites
  • Pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup M & M’s candies

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy in a small deep bowl. Gradually beat in sugar to make stiff meringue. Fold in M & M’s. Grease and flour cookie sheet. Drop meringue mixture by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Garnich each with an M & M.

Bake in slow oven at 250° for 30 minutes or until cookies are firm to touch but still shite. Cool cookies on cookie sheet on a wire rack.

Remove with a spatula. Store in airtight container.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
