Pecan Sandies

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tsp water
  • 2 heaping Tbsp powdered sugar
  • Powdered sugar (to roll cookies in; approximately 1 lb.)

Combine creamed margarine, vanilla and water together. Gradually add flour and sugar. Add nuts. Form little balls of dough and place on cookie sheet. Flatten out with fingers or fork.

Bake in oven at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. As soon as you take them out of the oven, roll them in powdered sugar.

Yields 3 dozen cookies.
