  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white Karo®
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar

Mix sugar, Karo® and water. Let come to boil, boil until it forms a thread. Add cream of tartar to egg whites; beat until they form peaks. Pour half of syrup over egg whites beating all the time you pour. Cook other half until it forms soft ball in cup of cool water. Pour rest of syrup over eggs. Add vanilla. Beat until it loses its shiny color. Add nuts. Drop on wax paper with spoon.
