Louisiana Watermelon Festival Recipe

• 1 package (1 lb 2 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
• 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• Banana slices
• Orange sections, or drained mandarin oranges
• Melon balls
• 1/4 cup orange marmalade, peach or apricot preserves
• 1 Tbsp water

Cut dough into 1/8 inch slices. Line 14-inch pizza pan with slices, overlapping slightly. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes. Cool. Blend softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Spread over cookie crust and arrange fruit over cream cheese layer. Glaze with marmalade or preserves mixed with water. Chill.
