Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 1 1/2 cup plain cornmeal
  • 3 Tbsp plain flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 2 cup buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients well. Add egg and oil and 1 cup of buttermilk. Beat well. Add remaining cup of buttermilk and mix well. Pour into hot greased skillet and then bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
