Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 large jalapeno pepper
- 1 cup cream style corn
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls in hot fat. Do not cook too fast as they will brown before cooking well inside. Mix when ready to cook and do not let set after mixing.
